Dr. William “Doc” Jones is a professional musician, educator, and cultural producer with over 40 years of experience. He has performed with legendary artists including Otis Williams of The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Pops Staples and The Staple Singers, and opened for Chris Botti and The Whispers.
Doc Jones is the Founder and Executive Producer of the International Jazz Day AZ Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit celebrating International Jazz Day in Arizona and Mexico as part of a global movement spanning 196 countries. He is also the Founder and Producer—and trademark owner—of the Scottsdale Jazz Festival, one of Arizona’s most respected jazz events.
In addition, Doc Jones is the Owner and visionary behind Jazz Town USA, an innovative project focused on creating affordable housing and creative communities for musicians and artists.
A dedicated educator for over 30 years, Doc Jones has taught across Illinois, Arizona, California, and Mexico, using music as a tool for education, cultural connection, and community development.
